JOIN THE SINKING BOAT!
Welcome to the webpage documentation of our ME218B final project! On this website we explain the project task followed by the mechanical, electrical, and software design of our robot, and conclude with gems of wisdom for future ME 218 teams.

Below, we show video clips of the races our bot was in. All in all, it seems that we placed second in the class-wide competition!

FAQ
Why are there only three of you?
Though it has been said that all good things happen in three's, the project is indeed intended for a four person team. However, due to the inability of the class size to be nicely divisible by 4, there were three teams of 3 this quarter -- and we were one of them!
Why are you called the "Sinking Boat"? This bots didn't float or sink!
As explicitly touched upon in the previous answer, we were a slightly smaller team. As a result, we fundamentally came short in available (wo)man hours. At times, we felt overwhelmed, and too often, we noted the sun rising. During such "dark" periods, we found comfort in humor, and most often we joked that we were all on a sinking ship. When other teams ran across hardship, we would invite them to join our sinking boat, and subsequently watch them leave our boat. Since we so often referred to said metaphorical boat, we felt it would be an injustice to abandon it in the eve our seemingly fortuitous success, and so we named ourselves as such, in honor of our struggles against time.
